An elegant Christmas fireplace that is simple to put together with faux and fresh greenery, pinecones, candles, brass candlesticks and an antique mirror!
Create a classic and elegant holiday look in your home this year with my Christmas Garland Tutorial and Silver Christmas Tree details. Free printables, such as these adorable Christmas Village Luminaries, Holly Gift Tags, and pinecone gift tags would be beautiful with this theme as well.
One of the things that I wanted to do to dress up our rental home was to add a faux fireplace. I loved the idea of creating a focal point in the room to make it feel more cozy and inviting. I also loved having something to decorate for Christmas!
A mantel can be such a perfect place to add Christmas decorations. I love adding garlands or wreaths, and stockings to my mantel each holiday season and the little ones always get giddy with excitement when they see it.
Since the Christmas tree was right next to the fireplace, I wanted to keep the mantel garland more simple than last year.

Elegant Christmas Fireplace Ideas
It is fun to get creative to give your Christmas fireplace your personal touch. I wanted to stay very classic this year but there are so many other things you can add to your garland to make it fit your style and decor. You can get as creative as you want! It helps to pull in the theme or colors from the rest of the room.
Some more ideas for your Christmas fireplace mantel:
- ornaments
- berry picks
- snowflakes
- beads
- flocking (this tutorial for how to flock a Christmas tree works on garland as well!)
- ribbon
- poinsettias
- stars
- bells
- other garlands
- cookie cutters
- dried orange slices
- cinnamon ornaments
Candles
Candles are a must for Christmastime at our home. When it gets dark earlier and the chill sets in, there is nothing like snuggling up and enjoying the twinkle lights and warm glow of candlelight. They add a layer of ambiance that makes each evening feel more special.
Tip: Use battery operated candles that flicker, with a timer, to have worry-free candles that come on without you having to do anything!
Mirror on Christmas Fireplace Mantel
I had bought this mirror at an antique store several months ago with the intent to use it when we build out home, but it ended up working perfectly on my Christmas fireplace mantel this year. A mirror is always a beautiful addition to a Christmas mantel, but adding a piece of artwork can feel very special too!
