A cozy and family friendly Fall family room and playroom decorated in shades of deep plum purple, burgundy, muted burnt orange, mustard and white.
There is definitely a chill in the air here which has made it even more fun to add those cozy Autumn touches to our home. I have shared our Fall Kitchen and Dining room and will be sharing a little peek of our Fall family room today for our Seasons of Home Holiday Series. I know I have said this a hundred times already, but I love Fall so much.
The weather was so stormy when I was trying to take these pictures, so they are a little shadowy but that is ok. It was actually really fun to hear the lightening and thunder outside while I lit candles and fluffed our cozy family room.
The family room I usually share is downstairs in the main living area of our home, but this one is where we have our TV and is in our bonus room. It is a very casual and comfy space where we hang out as a family. It is a pretty large room- as big as the 3 car garage that it sits above- so half of the room is a family room and half is a playroom. I will share both today just for fun.
I carried the same colors from downstairs up here into this room. They are so warm and inviting- the deep plum purple, burgundy, burnt orange, and white. I also added these yummy mustard pillows that I found on clearance at Pottery Barn a few months ago. I knew when I saw them that I needed them for this room for Fall.

All of our fun white baby boo pumpkins make me so happy. We grew them in our little garden this year and they are so sweet. My littles help me every day to tend the garden each summer and it is so fun for us to enjoy our harvest.
The other half of the bonus room is our playroom. I get asked frequently where we store all of our toys and where we have out TV and they are both in this big room.
Our toys are stored in these baskets and the big toy box. The big toys are stored behind the curtains. The kids do have a few toys in their rooms, but the majority of them are here in their playroom. This antique pine bed is a fun little space to snuggle and read a book.
Across from the bed is this little table that I built paired with vintage chairs I collected. They feel fall-ish to me. I should pull them outside and take pictures of the littles when there are more leaves on the ground. That would be fun.
More pretty plum tree branches from our yard. We have 6 plum trees lining the front of our property, and I have been loving the subtle warm pop of color the branches add to our home this season.
I need to find some frames for these Autumn botanicals, but I stuck them up here in the meantime anyway. This is a very comfy room- nothing is perfect about it, which is why we love it. It is a warm and cozy place to snuggle and play with our babies.
I hope you get a chance to visit the rest of these family rooms in our Seasons of Home Holiday Series. It is so fun to see a bunch of different ways to decorate for Fall. I know you will love all of their ideas.
