I love everything about the Christmas season, but I especially love the warm glow of twinkling lights at night while I am snuggling with my babies under the Christmas tree. Everything looks so different- so magical- at night and I cherish those moments when we giggle, whisper and dream about all of the fun things we will do during the Christmas season and even speculate what Santa will be bringing when he comes.
I am happy to be sharing my home with some of my blogging friends, and I hope you get a chance to visit them at the end of this post. If you are coming over from French Country Cottage, welcome! I hope you won't be too hard on me since this is my first attempt at photographing my home at night. It was scary, but kind of fun. I definitely want and need to practice!
One thing I love is how every color is richer at night in the warm glow of candlelight. These pomegranates are so beautiful.
My mom picked up this pretty vintage silver candelabra for me a few years ago and I love it.
I usually do the dishes after my babies are in bed at night and I enjoy them so much more when this is my view. I really wish that I could get away with having a tree up all year long!
We have strings of draped lights on our back patio and they make for the perfect backdrop for my wreaths and little gingerbread village jars.
It is important to me to teach my babies the reason for the season and I just loved this Nativity drawing from Rachel over at Shades of Blue Interiors. She drew it and I think she is so talented. She is offering it as a free download HERE if you would like to snag one too. It feels so real to me- the way any mama would cherish and love her sweet new babe.
I hope you are enjoying these last few days leading up to Christmas and that they are magical and meaningful with your loved ones. These moments are so fleeting and I find myself holding on and enjoying them a little extra this season.
Next stop on today's posts is Love Grows Wild. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for taking time to visit with me today. You can see my full home tour (in daylight) HERE.
