A couple of my favorite ideas to give friends for Valentine's (or "Galentine's") day! A combination of bright and cheerful flowers, candles and a delicious treat.
I wanted to throw together some easy Valentine's Day presents for a few of my friends this year and my sweet girl helped me. We made "Galentine's" presents. It has been a long year for all of us (and a long winter here in Idaho) so I thought something that was bright and cheerful would be a nice surprise.

Valentine's "Galentine's" Gifts for Women
I am a big believer in teaching my daughters to grow up to be the kind of women who build and uplift others. Putting together little gifts for friends is an easy and fun, but thoughtful, way to do this. The key is to make it simple so it isn't overwhelming.
My trick to pulling an easy gift together is to mix 2 or 3 different things together. For instance, a candle and flowers (my favorite thing is always to give flowers), or a tea towel and a pretty serving spoon. And I always add some sort of yummy snack or treat.
Here are some of my favorite things:
- candles
- flowers
- potted plants
- snacks or treats (cake, cupcakes, muffins, fancy cookies, etc.)
- cute notebook and pen
- tea towel
- cute cake plate
- pretty serving spoon
- a favorite book or cookbook
- a sweet necklace
- bath bombs
- lotions
- body scrub
- market basket or tote
- garden gloves and seeds
- big wooden spoon or cutting board
- apron
- fancy soda in a pretty glass bottle
- game
- slippers
- socks
How to Put Together a Galentine's Gift for Friends
I grabbed these beautiful debi lilly design™ blooming plants with pearl flower pot covers at my local Albertsons. The pink is so cheerful when everything outside is gray and dreary. After Christmas, things can seem so bland until spring finally starts to come. I feel so happy when everything is blooming outside, so I thought it would be fun to bring some of that happiness to each of my friends with my little galentine's present. Bringing some spring indoors just feels so right!
I paired the pretty flowers with a candle from debi lilly design™ and some muffins from the bakery. I thought the candle had the sweetest vintage-looking label that my friends will love. It was so easy and quick to pull everything together all from the same store.
I picked up these beautiful products from debi lilly design™ at my local Albertsons store. You can also find limited-edition Valentine’s offerings from debi lilly design™ x Valentines Collection in the floral department exclusively at any Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, Tom Thumb and Vons.
Valentine's Day
Giving Valentine's gifts to friends is such a fun thing to do during this drearier time of the year.
The wonderful thing about these gifts is that they don't have to be large or fussy at all. They are just simple, sweet (and easy!) things to let your loved ones know you are thinking about them.
Women can be so hard on each other sometimes and I am a big believer in teaching my daughters from an early age to be the ones who build and uplift others! I know they will be healthier and happier in the future by learning this trait.
Do you have a Galentine that could use a little love this year?
