This cheese sauce is really good on pretty much anything by the way- bread, pretzel bites, celery, cooked broccoli, pasta, potatoes, and any carb really.
Warm Cheddar Cheese Dip
Ingredients
- 2 T unsalted butter
- 2 T white, all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 10 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated It turns out better if you shred it yourself (do not use pre-shredded cheese)
- pinch kosher salt to taste
- diced spring onion garnish
Instructions

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium high heat. Add flour and stir with a whisk.

Dump milk into pan and continue to cook and whisk until mixture thickens.

Dump in shredded cheese and mix until all cheese is melted and incorporated. Add a pinch of salt to taste.

Serve warm with sliced baguettes, crackers, or pretzel bread bites.
