Last week I shared a little cake in my Christmas Tablescape that I garnished with sugared cranberries and I wanted to share the recipe with you today. They are so easy to make and add such a pretty touch to baked goods and holiday decor. They are also pretty yummy with their sweet and sour flavors.
Sugared Cranberries
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 2 hours
Total Time 2 hours 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups sugar divided
- 1 12 oz. bag cranberries
Instructions
-
In a medium saucepan, combine water and 1/2 cup sugar, stirring over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in cranberries. Using a slotted spoon, transfer cranberries onto parchment paper or a wire rack. Let dry for one hour.
-
Working a scoopful at a time, roll the cranberries into the remaining sugar until well coated and place on a new sheet of parchment. Let dry completely- at least an hour- before using.
I hope you enjoy making them! They are really fun to make.

I used the cranberries with sugared rosemary on top of cheesecake. It was the hit of the dinner party!
