I am sorry that this will ruin plain old syrup for you forever. You can be mad at me if you want. Or really, really happy because this spiced Pumpkin Maple syrup is THAT good!
Spiced Pumpkin Maple Syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp. Maple Extract I use Mapleine
- 1 3/4 cups pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
- 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice make your own~ recipe; see link in notes
- 1 cup evaporated milk
Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan and heat until boiling, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and whisk in maple flavoring. Then whisk in pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice until completely smooth and well combined. Whisk evaporated milk into the syrup. Serve immediately over pancakes, waffles, and more! May be stored, covered, in the fridge for a few days. Just reheat and serve when ready.
NOTE: Make your own pumpkin spice! Find the recipe here.
NOTE: This syrup is amazing served with butter. The butter offsets the sweetness with creamy saltiness and puts it over the top. Also, you may like it with chopped pecans or walnuts on top. That is my favorite!
Oh how I love the tastes of Fall! I could eat spiced pumpkin-y goodness all year around!

This looks really yummy and I'm intrigued about making syrup as opposed to buying it already made. Definitely trying this.
Thank you Jen! I love to make homemade syrup!
Now that sounds amazing!! Definitely need to give that a try!
I am obsessed with pumpkin and this looks soooooo good! x
This syrup looks and sounds delicious, but am I missing something? Is there supposed to be maple syrup or maple flavoring in this recipe?
Oh my goodness Mollie! I accidentally left it out up above... I just updated the recipe above and it is perfect now! Thank you for telling me!

What a great fall recipe! 🙂
Kristen that syrup looks amazing! My 3 year-old daughter looked at all the pictures from the collage and I asked her which one she wanted to see first and she said, PANCAKES! 🙂 Great action shot of the syrup being poured! So beautifully done!
