My porch is pretty small, so I wasn't sure that I could really do much out here that would be very exciting to share. Someday the hubbs and I hope to build or buy a home in the country that has a big beautiful porch, but for now we are thankful for the home we have. I think that part of living a happy life is to learn to be happy with the things that you have- right here, right now. So, I decorated my little porch with my Fall goodies and I hope you like it.
I have been using my big chalkboard out here on this wall because I built the new one for inside. It ended up being the perfect size for this wall and since our porch is covered, it is pretty well protected. It is a fun little thing to change up for the seasons. Don't look too closely because we still need to hang this bad boy. It is so heavy that we haven't done it yet.
I used a couple of old thrifted stools and cute baskets from Joss & Main filled with pumpkins and cozy plaid and ivory waffle weave throws. It looks like these basket sets are out of stock right now, but if I see them come back in stock, I will update my link.
A farmer we know let us cut some corn stalks and I gathered a bunch of the pumpkins from our garden. I mixed in some of the fairytale pumpkins that I bought at another local farm, but the majority of the pumpkins were the ones I grew with my babies this summer. We love our garden.
We updated our lighting and it made such a huge difference. You can find the tutorial for my wreath here.
My favorite thing was when the sun went down and the glow of the candles intensified. It was so cozy and warm feeling.
I am such a sucker for pretty pumpkins. The more oddly shaped, the better!

Your porch is beautiful Kristin! It looks the exact size of ours and I always think I can't share it on my blog, cause there's "nothing" to share! Thank you for the inspiration that even the smallest porches can be beautiful!!! xo

Kristen I love how cute your entry/porch is! That large chalkboard is darling there and how awesome you just cut some of your own corn stalks-- with visible corn cobs! That is something you don't get when you buy stalks! Love your choice of light too!
