Outdoor fall decorations for cozy and inexpensive tablescapes and entertaining for large or small gatherings.
Outdoor fall decorations are one of my very favorite things this time of year, especially when they include tablescapes and entertaining. A couple of my favorites were the rich warm tone fall entertaining table and this Cozy outdoor fall family table.
This year, gatherings look a little different than normal, but truth be told, we eat together as a couple and as a family much more often anyway.
I pulled together a little Autumn table for two in the backyard under my favorite tree, over by the shed. Because, sometimes entertaining for two can be just as special as entertaining for a crowd.
In times that are out of the ordinary, it feels even more important to still make magical moments with loved ones.
I love the inspiration in my friend Courtney's book, French Country Cottage Inspired Gatherings. There are so many beautiful ideas for gatherings, large and small, and they are absolutely stunning! It is one of those books that is perfect for ideas, for the coffee table, or even for a gift.

For my table, I wanted to use things I had around the house. I used a plaid throw that I had on hand. The plates, silverware, napkins, cups, and candles (I always buy these ones to keep on hand) are all things from my cupboards. I clipped leaves and grasses for the "flower arrangement." These solar powered patio lights are my favorite.
This old chippy table is one of my very favorite vintage finds because it is easy to pull out and use on a whim.
I took the littles to the grocery store to pick up a few pumpkins a couple days ago and I absolutely loved the color of these dusty orange and green ones. I think they might be my new favorite pumpkin.
I usually have these lanterns out on my front porch, but I love to pull them back here whenever we eat back here.
We had some apple cider because it always feels like such a treat this time of the year.
There is nothing as magical as eating by the light of candles and twinkling patio lights.
