A Christmas bedroom is extra magical with plush white bedding, french country touches, fresh boxwood wreaths and its own Christmas Tree decorated in mercury glass, snowflakes, ivory ribbon and frosted pinecones.
Some of the items in this post were provided by Birch Lane.
I don't think there is a room in our home that hasn't been been touched by Christmas. It is my very favorite time of the year and I just can't help it. I loved having a Christmas tree in our room last year and I was looking forward to putting one up in our room again this year. I was thinking about pulling in my red striped duvet this year but I just never got it out and I ended up loving how calm and serene our room felt with the muted color palette. Maybe I will pull in the red next year.
This tree is a beautiful new one from Birch Lane that I absolutely fell in love with (find it here), but when I posted about it in my Instagram stories a couple weeks ago while I was setting it up, it completely sold out! It is on sale if you want to check it out for next year, but it won't come until this January. Here are a couple of other similar options that I found for you- a 7 ft. one here and a 5 ft one here.
I decorated the tree with my mercury glass ornaments, some frosted pinecones, ivory ribbon, sparkly garland, distressed snowflakes and a couple of sprigs of blue colored berries. To see my video tutorials for decorating Christmas trees, adding ribbon, etc. click HERE.
I love decorating Christmas trees. It is probably one of my very, very favorite things to do.
These sweet white and silver distressed mercury glass ornaments are so beautiful and heavy. I found them here. I had some similar ones that I loved out on my big 9 ft. tree in my family room, but I had never run across anything like them until I found these. I love their texture.
I hung a couple of boxwood wreaths in our room and I love the life and color they add. I shared a little tutorial for how I like to tie and hang my wreaths HERE if you are interested.
My babies like to sit on this bench and snuggle up in a blanket, sometimes watching a show on the little TV in our antique cabinet, and sometimes just talking and talking to their daddy and I.
One of my favorite additions to our room this year was this plush, yummy rug. It is so thick and cozy. My feet are always cold during the winter months and I love how warm it is underfoot.
Hanging my vintage ornaments on my chandelier is another one of my favorite things to do each Christmas season. I love the extra little festive sparkle.
You may have noticed that I painted my bed a few months ago. I am not sure if I love the color, and am actually thinking about painting it again, but I do love it with all of the wintery touches.
I have fallen asleep many nights now under the soft glow of the tree and it makes me happy. I love Christmas so much.
