My sweet Ella is a year old!
She had her very first birthday yesterday, and we had a lot of fun.
I actually took these pictures on Saturday, so Ella spent the day yesterday playing, eating a fancy cupcake that grandma brought her, talking to her doggy, and lots more playing.
I had made and arranged a few things to try to make her little photo shoot special. I wanted my sweet baby to have some fun pictures for her memory book.
I made a few buntings, laid out a few vintage linens and quilts, and made a tent out of a vintage handmade tablecloth.
I just can't get enough of this sweet face. I feel like the luckiest mommy in the world. The last year has had its challenges, but the joys have outweighed the challenges by far.
This kitty kept sneaking in the pictures. I thought it was kind of cute that he just wanted to play with Ella. She is such an animal lover that she ate it up!
Ella kept trying to crawl away from us {my mom was there helping to entertain her-- thanks mom!}.
I was impressed how agile she was in her foofy petticoat!
Yes, I feel very blessed. And, I am so thankful that my hunky hubby has worked so hard so I can be a stay-at-home mommy. I truly feel blessed every single day.
It is so amazing how the year has flown, how much she has learned and grown, and how much fun she is now at this stage. I just eat it up.
There is a part of me that misses my little newborn, but I am just so enthralled with everything she is and does now as well. I can truly say I have enjoyed every single one of her little stages, even the harder ones in one way or another.
We aren't having her birthday party until next week, so it was fun to just enjoy her without all of the hype today.
I hope my sweet girl keeps her sparkle and warmth and happiness for her whole life.
But, for today, I will relish in it, eat it up, and kiss those sweet cheeks as much as posible.
I hope you are all having a great week!

Ella is stunning and you have taken some amazing pictures of her. Our little people grow up so quickly , its sad thing as you don't get to enjoy all the moments that you wnat to. My lovely Emily is a grown woamn now but i still remember her being as adorable as your wee Ella. Well done with the special pictures to remember the moments by. have a great day and you might like the couple of pictures of Vent du Sud on my blog as you clearly have an eye for Frech styling, so would love to see you if you can pop by.
