Thank you to Birch Lane for Sponsoring Today's Post!
Thank you so much to everyone who left such sweet comments on my master bedroom reveal here on the blog and on social media! I am back today sharing a little more about these gorgeous nightstands that some of you asked about.
I loved the wood tone of the bed and wanted to contrast (and compliment) it with something similar in style, but light, airy and painted. I have gray accents all over the room in the duvet, accent chair, frames and stool, so I wanted to choose nightstands that had a different color... and yes, white is a color :). It is actually all of the colors combined. See, my color theory class from college actually came in handy :).
Anyhow, I have been enjoying the gray, white, light blue pallet in this room so much. These Gilmore Nightstands from Birch Lane are more of a pure white, while the beadboard wall we installed is more of a creamy white. I love the layering of whites. I also loved that the nightstands were that cottage style which complimented the bed so well. The nightstands are nice and wide and substantial, which I feel is important with a king size bed. I found some baskets for the open space underneath to add even more storage.
I am still on the lookout for an antique alarm clock and fan for my nightstands, but I don't like to rush those things. I want to find the ones that make my heart skip a beat, so I will try to be patient. I love this oversized alarm clock, but I actually think it is so pretty on top of my antique pine armoire on the other wall, so it will end up on there eventually. The chippy paint and color compliment it so well.
I have put off decorating this room for so long and I am kind of kicking myself for it now. I absolutely love having a relaxing retreat.
I will be sharing more about the linens, bird pictures, stool and chair next week, so I hope you come back and check in!
