A perfectly spiced, moist and delicious gingerbread cake made in house molds for the most adorable festive Christmas treat.
I promised I would share the details of my little gingerbread cake houses that I posted with my Christmas tablescape a couple weeks ago. They are so perfectly moist and flavorful and delicious, and so easy to make! These are perfect for holiday parties, neighbor gifts, treat exchanges and more. Dusted with a little powdered sugar "snow," these cakes are beautiful and so sweet for the season!
The cake mold that I used is sold out, but this one is very similar/maybe the same, and here is the large version.
I used my gingerbread cake recipe. Be sure to fill the cake mold and bake on a sturdy cookie sheet.
Follow the recipe above, omitting the frosting. Fill each mold 3/4 of the way full and bake according to instructions- approximately 28 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
