Hi everyone! Thank you for all of your sweet comments on my Christmas home tour yesterday! If you are here visiting from Driven by Decor as part of the Holiday Entertaining Tour hosted by Designthusiasm, I am so happy to have you here today and I am thrilled to be sharing a fun tablescape idea today.
I shared an elegant tablescape a few days ago and will be sharing another elegant tablescape tomorrow, so I thought I would mix things up a little bit and have some fun with a special little table for my babies. They are the magic of Christmas and I want them to have so many fond memories of growing up together in our home.
I thought it would be so fun to do a vintage toy themed tablescape and surprise my kids one day. I wish I had gotten a picture of the little looks on their faces when they saw all of the toys and goodies!
Some things I used included:
- vintage and new toys
- large bottle brush Christmas Trees
- wooden trees
- comfy pillows
- Polka dot plates
- The kids' stockings
I started with a layer of wrapping paper, followed by a table runner made from a vintage grain sack with a red stripe. Then I set the table, added the cake stands that I would be using for the food and finally I added all of the toys.
I think it is a little unconventional, but my babies loved it and it did feel like a very happy table. It made me smile.
Of course it wouldn't be a Christmas table without the hot chocolate.
Do you have littles who would love a magical little Christmas table for a meal?
I hope you get a chance to visit the next house in the tour: Buckets of Burlap and you can see the rest of the schedule below.

Very cute. I have done a child's table for my grands in the past. These tables are fun to do.
