Oh Christmas, how I love you. It is finally time for us to start decorating for Christmas! I am excited for this day all year long. I have always decorated for Christmas on November 1st- I know it is a bit early for some people, but I love having our home ready and cozy so we can just focus on enjoying the traditions of the holiday season together. Thanksgiving isn't any less important or special to us under the glow of Christmas lights.
I am also sharing 15 other inspiring Christmas kitchens that I know you will love - filled to the brim with Christmas decorating ideas!
Our kitchen is on the small side, so I don't usually add a ton of Christmas decor. Clutter makes me feel overwhelmed. Usually my Christmas kitchen decor is in the form of oranges, pomegranates, candles, Christmas drinks, pretty tea towels, or other goodies to take to family and friends.
One of the best things about our kitchen during the holidays is that the sink overlooks the Christmas tree and family room which makes for a cozy view while doing the dishes.
We use our jars out on these pantry shelves every single day, so I will need to use command hooks or something to hang the garland up on the wall. I thought I had some in my stash but I can't seem to find them, so I will fix that later. I love this garland. It is a faux one that I picked up from a small shop in Utah when I was visiting my sisters last year. I also changed out the artwork in my frames for some Christmas botanicals.
One of our very favorite things to do during the holidays is to bake together! My littles are such fun helpers and we usually end up piling kraft to-go boxes full of our treats to take to friends and family. Gingerbread men are one of our very favorites to make and I shared the recipe for these delicious and perfectly soft cookies HERE.
How many breadboards is too many? Just curious...
I still need to decorate the Christmas tree (I am a little behind this year) and hang stockings, etc. but the kitchen is such a good place to start. It is so easy to add inexpensive touches to a kitchen that make the whole house feel festive somehow.
Do you decorate your kitchen for Christmas? I can't wait to do some more Holiday baking and make gingerbread houses!
I hope you get a chance to visit these other beautiful Christmas kitchens! There are so many inspiring ideas.

I was so excited to see your first Christmas post! You really. create a "feeling" with what you use to decorate. And I see it in the fruit, gingerbread, and garland. We don't need all the bells and whistles where a room can get lost! I'm trying to keep clutter down in my kitchen, so its a challenge to decorate for holidays without adding things I'm always trying to subtract! But thank you for some great inspiration!! Oh, finally~~ your daughter is precious!
