Does anyone else’s crazy schedule require a few “on the go” breakfast options? Me too! Healthy Peach Oatmeal Smoothies are quick to make, yummy to drink, and stick with the kids until lunch time! That’s the kind of breakfast idea I need!
Hi everyone, it’s Amy from Little Dairy on the Prairie. School is in full swing at my house and nobody is happy about it. The kids don’t like school, I don’t like school, and their dad misses having a few extra helpers on the farm. Summers on the farm are super busy and so we are used to getting up early, so early mornings aren’t the hard part about school. The dreaded part is making sure everyone has their homework, their hair combed, milk off their faces, their shirts on the right way, and begging them to hurry a hundred times over! Please tell me our house isn’t the only house is mass chaos on school mornings!
I’m always searching for another breakfast idea I can whip together in a jiffy. Since a few days of the week we have to be out of the house at 6:00 I also need a few breakfast options that the kids can take with them. These smoothies along with a zucchini breakfast cookie, or a chubby hubby muffins, are so easy to hand to the kids as they are rushing out the door.
Fill you blender with peaches, bananas, and oatmeal. Puree that.
Add ice, frozen orange juice concentrate, milk, and a splash of vanilla. That’s all there is to this one!
I LOVE adding a little oatmeal to my smoothies. They instantly become a little heartier and stick with you a little longer! And we all know that full tummies make happy kids! Enjoy your morning!

Awesome recipe. I am hurry in the morning too. Oatmeal is a very healthy food with slow-digesting carbohydrate and high fiber. I will surely try this in my breakfast tomorrow!! Thank you for taking your time writing this blog! Love it !
