I have a super fun and easy Valentine's Day project for you today! These little DIY Valentine's Day treat platters add so much whimsy to Valentine's treats and they take under 10 minutes to make!
First, take all of the wrappers off of your peppermints (you could use cinnamon ones too). I found mine in the bulk section at our grocery store and they were super inexpensive.
You will need a heart shaped cake pan. Someone left a pot pie for me on my porch a couple Valentine's Days ago in this cute pan, but you can find one similar to it here.
Line your pan with foil. In case you were wondering, wax paper doesn't work very well, and foil works amazingly.
Fill your pan with as many candies as you can fit, laying each flat in the pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes, or until all of your candies are melty and flat like this:
Let it cool completely before removing from the pan. Once cool, just pop it out of the pan by pulling up on the foil. The foil should peel right off.
Isn't that so cute and easy!?
I love the way they look on little mini cake stands as well as just flat on the table. I think they are so fun. You could even wrap them in cellophane and take them to your Valentines with cookies and cupcakes on them.
