We recently bought a new car (well, new to us) and I have been trying my best to keep it nice and new-feeling. I have been wanting to throw together a little car preparedness kit to help with the sticky fingers, diaper changes, boo-boos, etc. and I finally did it! I thought I would share some of the things that I have included in mine and I would love for you to comment with any other things you like to keep in your car!
I started with a little mini first aid kit, but I am going to be hopefully putting a bigger one together for real emergencies. This is more for the little everyday boo-boos.
I picked up a Wet-Nap canister and some packettes to put in there as well. My kids seems to have sticky fingers all the time and I am constantly cleaning them up, so these are a must. Is it just me, or are these things softer and more durable than when I was a kid? I am very impressed. I also like the added aloe so it doesn't dry my babies' already dry skin (they take after me there).
Case in point:
{always in a princess dress, of course}
Of course, I needed to add snacks, for them and me. I included emergency suckers for emergency bribery situations. I added diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes as well.
In a little bag I had on hand, I added little things that I always seem to need... nail clippers, travel size lotion, deodorant, lip moisturizer, disposable toothbrushes, floss, hair bands, small brush, body spray, bleach pen, etc.
I also included a little coloring book and flashcards to keep a certain crazy toddler occupied.
My diaper bag was starting to weigh a thousand pounds, so I am glad to have some of this in my car kit instead of lugging it around all of the time.
Here is the checklist I compiled. If you would like to print off my free Car Kit Checklist Printable HERE. I asked everyone on Instagram a couple days ago what their must-haves were for their car, and everyone was so helpful in compiling this list! I had input from other moms as well. I hope you find this useful! You can also click on this picture below.
So, tell me... what do you keep in your car? I would love to know so I can be prepared!
