I can’t believe October is over and Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! Warm Autumn colors, turkey dinner, giving thanks, and family… it doesn’t get any better than that! I have a fun little Autumn place setting idea with a free printable placemat to share with you today. It is so easy and casual, which is the kind of Thanksgiving I like best.
I love how Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the things we are thankful for.
We hope to continually teach our babies the importance of being thankful and expressing gratitude. I truly believe that they will live fuller and happier lives if they learn to focus on those things. One of the Thanksgiving traditions that I want to start with my family is listing things we are thankful forand then going around the table and sharing.
I thought these easy printable placemats would be a fun little way to do that, and I wanted to share them with you. I just saved the file (link to the file below) to a little thumb drive and took it down to the copy place to have them print them. It is just a standard 11×17 black and white print. If you use the self serve machines, it will save you money. I think they would be so pretty on Kraft colored paper, or even orange, to dress up a Thanksgiving table.
I used the plain white paper and did a less common color scheme for my thanksgiving place setting. I loved these sweet little green pumpkins from our garden and I really liked the way they looked with creams, whites, wood tones, and black. I love the way it is still soft and warm, but a totally different take from traditional Autumn colors.
This ribbon is my favorite. I got it at Craft Warehouse, but I know May Arts also makes one like it.
I added a pencil in with the silverware for guests to be able to fill out their placemats. This is truly the easiest, and most casual, place setting ever. Just the way I think it should be.
I definitely can’t wait to try printing these fun placemats on other types of paper.
