Create beautiful and cozy Fall decor in your home with layers of cozy throw pillows, soft knit blankets, copper accents, candles and pressed Autumn leaf luminaries.
I got my house cleaned up after several weeks of it being a mess and it felt so good to pull out more of my fall family room decorations. I lit my favorite candle and sprinkled little bits of fall all around.
Pulling out our fall throw pillows and chunky knit blankets always makes our home feel so cozy for the season.
I used mainly the things that I already had on hand in my stash and from around the house. This year has looked a lot different for all of us, and I just wanted to make everything feel warm and inviting and really comfortable for our family.
I think it is important to beautify your surroundings
One of the fun things we made for fall this year are these DIY fall leaf luminaries with beautiful leaves we found and collected. It is such a beautiful project that is easy to do and practically free. The littles loves helping with this one, especially the leaf collecting.
On the list for this weekend is making one for each of their rooms (with battery operated candles of course).
I put some luminaries up on the mantel but they are kind of hard to see in these pictures. In real life they are so magical! I hope you get a chance to try out the tutorial for them!
I picked up this beautiful vintage oil painting from Marketplace for only a couple of dollars. I was drawn to the beautiful colors and I think it matches my fall decor so well. I kind of love that it doesn't have a frame and is a little beat up around the edges.
I cut these hydrangeas and they will dry to a more muted version, but will keep their beautiful shape. I love the way the antique copper pot reflects the candlelight.
The yummy fall harvest and treats might just be the best thing about Fall.
We have already gone through 3 jugs of apple cider. It feels like the very best treat now that it is back in season.
I kept things simple in my dining area with a couple pumpkins and an antique French pitcher filled with branches. My sweet friend Marilynn gave me this cute pitcher with the berry branches and I added a couple of my leaf branches to it as well.
What kinds of things are you doing to fluff your home this fall?
