Spiced Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate

  • 3 cups whole milk can substitute one with less fat
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 cup white chocolate candy melts
  • real whipped cream


  1. In a heavy saucepan, whisk together pumpkin puree, milk and pumpkin pie spice. Slit the vanilla bean down the center, scrape out the caviar and add it to the milk mixture. Heat milk just until steaming, NOT boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the white chocolate candy melts until completely melted and smooth. Serve immediately with a dollop of whipped cream and a dusting of more pumpkin pie spice.
