I love this time of year so much, and I am already craving turkey with all of the fixings! My mom is the best cook in the world, and every year we are more than spoiled for our Thanksgiving dinner. This year, I thought I would make up some fun coloring placemats for all of the kids, and of course I will have the free printable for you at the end of the post!
We tend to spend a lot of time making the family table special with linen tablecloths, and my great grandmother's china (the Autumn Leaf pattern by Hall) and I loved the idea of making a special table for all of the little ones. There are a lot more than 2 littles in our big family so we will have to track down a larger table, but I had fun "playing" Thanksgiving here with my babies.
I used the pumpkins placemats for these little place settings, but I created 3 different designs total that you can use (download these free printable placemats at the end of this post). I took a bunch of graphics and photoshopped them to turn them into coloring placemats. You could make your own, or you can download mine at the end of this post.
One has a bunch of Fall leaves, one has repeating pumpkins, and one has a funky stylized turkey.
I put a box of crayons at each of my place settings, but a cute wooden tote in the middle of the table with a bunch of crayons to share would be really cute as well.
For my place cards, I just printed out one of the pattern graphics I found on GraphicStock.com (sponsored). You could find whichever color and pattern that coordinates with your decor and theme- or you could just use scrapbook paper from the craft store. This is a fun way to add a punch of color to the kids' table.
To print these placemats, I just took the file down to my office supply store and asked them to print it on regular 11x17" paper. They only cost 26 cents a piece! Not only are they festive and functional, but they keep the kiddos busy too- win, win!

Please remember that they are free for personal use only. We colored a bunch of these for our local meals on wheels and they loved it. Feel free to use them for that purpose too!

Such a fun idea. I will have to have several of these printed, we only will have three kids at our Thanksgiving, but I know an adult or two who would probably enjoy this also!

Hi! Recently found your blog & I adore it. You've became an instant favorite to read. The thanksgiving table is exactly what I've been thinking about for my girls. Thanks for the ideas! I have to ask about the table. Did you make it?

Thank you! No, but I refinished it. I found it while thrifting.
