A celebration of Fall with a tablescape of deep plum purples, burgundies, vintage copper, and white pumpkins, layered with textures of crusty bread, figs, plums, and other natural and french country farmhouse elements.
I am excited to share a little Fall tablescape in our dining room with you today. I love Fall. I know I have mentioned this a few hundred times already, but I really, really love it. The colors, the smells, the massive amount of tomatoes from the garden, the sunflowers growing along the side of the road, the pumpkin patch, the spices. I cold go on and on.
My sweet girl was my little helper putting together our "pretty table." She is so much like her mommy that it makes me giggle sometimes. She really loves to make things pretty and it makes me so happy that we have that in common. We grew these little white pumpkins in our garden this year and she helped me collect them.
One fun thing about Fall is that there are really so many color combinations you can pick for that warm Autumn feeling. The colors I was drawn to this year were were the deep plum purple, burgundy, copper, and white. I shared more about the vintage "Autumn's Delight" plates and my plum trees that inspired the colors here. (all other sources linked at the end of this post)
I have a little collection of antique copper and hope to collect a few more. Someday when we move to a bigger home, I would love to have those on display (and for use) in my kitchen. It was fun to pull them out for our table and I love how the copper looked with the colors of the flowers. It is kind of hard to see in this picture, but we made our little flower arrangement in a copper pot. It was a fun way to infuse the Fall orange color.
Most of our flower arrangment was from simple yard clippings. That is another thing that I love about Autumn. There are so many beautiful things to clip and bring inside. I added the eucalyptus and hypericum berries from the store.
One of the best things about Fall? Fresh warm crusty bread. Amen.
Oh, and candles. All the yummy candles.
I am thinking about stripping the paint off of these shutters, but that is another project for another day.
I hope you get a chance to visit these beautiful dining rooms and tablescapes. It feels like such a treat when I get to visit these girls' blogs and see all of the beauty they create. It always makes me feel so festive and cheerful.

Your talent is amazing! I've been following you for years and you are in to every part of your creations, from gardening to cooking to setting a gorgeous table...with your whole heart!
Your flower arrangement is so sweet. And knowing so much was grown in your garden! Your daughter is so cute. My daughter followed along with me all the time. She's a young mother now and has a degree in Interior Design. Watch out!

I made your pumpkin spice cake last night and it came out perfectly! My kids LOVED it and it made the house smell wonderful. Hope to make it again at Christmas time and decorate it with some greenery and sugared cranberries.
I also love your color palatte for the flowers this year. Can't wait to see what ideas you'll have for Thanksgiving!

Kristin, you truly have a magical touch. This is hands-down the most beautiful fall table I have ever seen. It has such warmth yet it is not over-the-top, screaming IT'S FALL!!! I love the touches of copper, the floral arrangement is just beautiful - so organic, and I just love the fact that you grew your own pumpkins. Try as I might, I just cannot produce a table that looks like this without it looking contrived. I wish we were neighbors - I'd pay you handsomely to help me with my home, lol!
And your beautiful daughter - I cannot believe how she has grown. It seems like yesterday that I discovered your blog and she was just tiny! It is amazing how quickly the time passes. But I digress! Anyway, just had to tell you how much I love this. Yours is one of the few blogs that I have continued to read over the years, and posts like this are the reason why.
