I have wanted to do a fun little Easter bunny ears cake since last year so I decided to surprise my littles with one. The look on my little man's face when he woke up from his nap was priceless. I did two versions of this cake and he woke up to the one below, but my girl loved the one with all of the beautiful flowers that I found at a local grocery store. I couldn't find any bunny ear graphics that were right, so I painted these watercolor Easter bunny ears. I am sharing them as a free printable below along with 28 other sweet Easter printables from some of my friends.
Ahhhh, I love tulips and roses. Especially these roses. They are my very favorite kind.
To make my naked cakes, I always use one cake mix with the set of pans HERE. I make a homemade buttercream that I have made ever since I was a little girl. I don't really have a recipe for it, I just make it from memory. I really should measure the ingredients one of these days just so I know, but I have always just eye-balled it.
If you make your own Easter bunny ears cake, you can just cut out the bunny ears (download below) and glue them to long toothpicks or popsicle sticks. I put my flowers on the cake first and then nestled the ears into them.
Here is the other version using the same watercolor ears. These cakes are super easy to make. I used the same cake pans as above for this one, I just fully frosted it (one cake mix, 15 minutes in the oven- so easy!). This cake is so cute and easy for your littles or grand littles! You could use any kind of cake mix, or add pastel food coloring to a white one just for fun.
To print the watercolor ears, you can click HERE and print onto heavy cardstock. I rolled them a little around my fingers to make them a little wavy instead of them being so straight. Please remember these are copyrighted and they are for personal use only. I hope you love them. 🙂
Here are 28 more sweet printables to add charm to your home this Easter season. I love so many of them and I think you will too.
