The popular seasonal cranberry bar with a traditionally buttery cookie base is one of my favorite holiday treats. I revamped it a little and did my own chocolatey take on the classic dessert, and oh my, it turned out DELICIOUS.
This recipe is simple and easy and tastes like a wonderfully decadent Christmas treat. It is perfect for holiday parties or to give to friends and neighbors, and all of the ingredients were easy to find at my local Albertsons grocery store.
This has been my favorite brownie mix ever since I was a kid. I added chocolate chips to it and used it as a base for my Chocolate Cranberry Blissful Bars.
I made the brownie base by following the directions on the box and adding chocolate chips. I poured it into the pan and cooked it according to package instructions.
Then, I simply made the cream cheese frosting layer, sprinkled with cranberries and drizzled with the extra melted chocolate chips. It looks so much fancier and more complicated than it is, but it came together so quickly and easily!

I actually went back after the kids were in bed to grab some of the stocking stuffers I found while I was there and couldn't purchase in front of them. I love Christmastime!
