Red and green Christmas decorations are the most classic and festive way to celebrate the holiday season! From Christmas trees to mantel garland, vintage Santa, wreaths and ornaments, this color combination will bring back feelings of nostalgia and magical memories.
At first, I thought I would be decorating for the season with calming neutral colors this year, but I just couldn't get away from the classic reds I love so much. One thing led to another and I decided to add green as well- may as well go all in right?

Red and Green Christmas Trees
Two of our Christmas trees this year are red and green themed. Our tree upstairs is so fun with a lot of red in it as well. You can read all of the details in my post about our vintage toy tree.
First, I decorated our new green tree with red and white decorations. It is a very. striking color combination.
You can see all of the details in the post about this red and gold Christmas tree. This is the first green non-flocked tree I have had in over a decade! It was fun to change things up a little bit.
At first I decorated it with all neutral whites, creams, and mercury glass (silver). Then I added little pops of red by draping a deep, wine red velvet ribbon all over the tree.
This tree, since it sits up in a box, is about 10 feet tall! It was a very large tree to decorate.
The second red and green themed tree is this Christmas tree in our family room. You can read all of the details in my post about our vintage red and green Christmas tree.
I added nostalgic and vintage Christmas elements all around the house. They are always my favorite.
Festive Bedroom Tree
While the majority of our house is decorated in red and greens, I decided to do warm neutrals in my bedroom this year.
You can read all about it in my post about our neutral cream and gold Christmas tree.
Mantel Garland Greenery
Decorating my mantel with greenery is one of my very favorite things to do to decorate for Christmas. Head here to see all of my best tips for full and beautiful DIY Christmas mantel garland.

I used a smaller fairy light strand this year and I am undecided on if I like them better than regular lights. I love them during the day. They are bright so they are powerful enough to sparkle in the daylight, but at night they are noticeably different color than the incandescent lights of my tree, which I don't love.
Red and Green Pillows and Throws
I pulled out these old red striped pillows and thought it would be fun to pair them with a dark hunter green one this year. I have had the red ones for years and found the green velvet for only $10! They look so pretty paired them with some cute chunky knit pillows I picked up for a great price as well. You can see all of them linked in my Christmas Sources page.
Red and Green Entryway
I didn't do much in the entryway this year. I just used things that I had on hand- a pretty wreath (it is actually 2 tied together, a little Christmas tree in an antique crock, vintage ice skates, and pillows from years past.
Our entryway is a very high traffic area, so it is fun to add a little Christmas charm for us to enjoy as we come and go.
