I love flowers. Love, love, love.
I love the time of year when I can cut them from my garden, but in the cold winter months I love to treat myself to store-bought flowers. Yesterday I picked up some from Trader Joes and Fred Meyer and had a little fun throwing them together. I will also share flower inspiration from some of my friends at the end of the post.
My parents sold our family home a few months ago which had globe willows that I loved to use in my arrangements. When I saw these branches at the store, I nearly cried. The homesickness is real, and this was such a sweet little blessing.
I did a very loose and relaxed arrangement. I feel like it looks better in person, but oh well :). I worked on a diagonal (instead of a traditional round arrangement) from upper right to lower left, adding flowers in layers.
I didn't get a good shot of them, but I also added peaches to my arrangement (you can see them barely peeking up at the top). I love adding fruit to arrangements. They are so naturally beautiful. This is so weird, but I was walking through the grocery store the other day and saw some gorgeous colored vegetables and my first thought was- that would be gorgeous in a flower arrangement. So, if I end up doing some kind of arrangement with potatoes or something, I give you permission to stage a floral intervention. 🙂
Another angle...
Here are a few more arrangements if you love flowers as much as I do...

I share your love for flowers. Beautiful arrangement! I love the height and how it spills over just a bit, creating a relaxed and whimsical feel.
