In true Idaho form, we have had some pretty crazy Spring storms these past couple of weeks. So, it is really fun to add bright and happy spring touches around the house as we prepare for warmer weather.
I feel like it has been a while since I have shared a home tour, unless you count Christmas. But, there are several things that have changed since then. I sold my other pine armoire and bought this 8 foot tall arched antique beauty from the 19th century. The color is a little orange in person for my taste and the finish is worn, so I will be working on it a little bit here in the next couple of months. I just loved the shape and detail.
I pulled out some pillows in shades of gray and blue and kept my knit off-white pillows and throws. I love how much texture they add.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen where I shared when I "borrowed" this gorgeous old crate from my mom. I have had my eye on it for years and she wasn't using it... so it walked itself right to my car and hopped in. All by itself. Funny how that happens.
One of my very favorite antique stores in town is going out of business because the owner is retiring so I got these cute shutters for a steal. I flanked both sides of these windows with the pair and I love the character it added to the room.
I added live curly willow branches and fake blossoming branches to this tall galvanized bucket. I also pulled out one of my vintage galvanized watering cans.

Obviously, I need to go grocery shopping... and straighten the basket liner out while I am at it. 🙂
I love this time of year when I start to see all of the pretty flowers in stores. I keep seeing ranunculus everywhere. I bought these gorgeous girls over a week ago and they are still going strong. My biggest spring decorating tip is to add fresh pops of color through houseplants and flowers. They make everything feel so much more lively.
I even added a plant in my bathroom. It makes me happy to see it every time I take a bath.
That is what I have so far anyway. I am still working on my office makeover though and I can't wait to share next week!

Your home is so effortlessly beautiful Kristen. Love your dining room and those new shutters! What a great find. And i'm sorry I couldn't see anything but that armoire in your living room shots. Stole the show. Dying.
