Today is the Fall family room day of our Farmhouse Holiday Series. I shared a couple peeks of the family room yesterday with my Fall home tour, but after I took those pictures, I actually ended up moving a few things around. I am loving the changes and the feel of the Fall colors in this room.
Our family room is right in the center of our home which is completely open to the kitchen and dining room, so it is always a bit of a struggle to layout furniture and decorate. After many, many changes, I feel like we have finally gotten it to a really cozy place. It really is in the heart of our home and I love nothing more than snuggling with my babies here.
I was hoping to get some pictures of my little family in here to share with you, but my babies are sick and have been laying low.
When we move to a different home in the future, this room will be the hardest for me to leave behind. This is the room where I hung out with my hubby for the first time, the room where he proposed to me, and the room we brought each of our 3 babies home to. I always seem to end up snuggled right here with my newborns so nice and cozy. It is the room where we have had a million snuggles with our babies, read a million books, sang a million little songs, and given a million little kisses. I truly believe that creating cozy spaces in our homes contributes so much to our family's happiness.
I have plans in the next couple of months to strip the varnish off of my big 8ft antique armoire and bring it back to a more raw and natural wood, but for now the warm tones match the Fall colors really well. I will keep you all posted. I will also be posting more about these beautiful linen slipcovers from Comfort Works later on in the week and this mirror makeover (turning a new mirror into a vintage looking mirror) probably next week. I hope to makeover the duck dynasty granite at some point too. I think the thing I love most about the Fall decor in this room might be the branches. I just love the pop of color.
Do you have a room in your home that you can't ever imagine leaving?
I am so excited for the rest of the days of our series, and hope that you find some eye candy and inspiration in these lovely friends' homes. I feel like I could cozy up in my favorite fuzzy blanket and pour over all of the details for hours. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Kristen, your family room is so lovely and inviting. I could see why you would never want to leave it. I absolutely love everything in it!
If you wouldn't mind, could you please share the wall color on your family room walls. So calm and soothing.
Thank you!
