I love so many things about decorating for Christmas. I always seem to be drawn to the beautiful vintage mercury glass, warm candlelight and lots of wintery white with pops of red so I am really excited to show you what I put together for our Farmhouse Holiday Series today teaming up with Courtney from French Country Cottage and Homegoods.
I think putting tablescapes together might be one of my favorite things to do- next to decorating Christmas trees. I love that you can add interest in many simple ways by mixing and matching dishes or gathering clippings from the yard.
I started with my vintage grain sack table runner as my base and added mercury glass ornaments and candles for a lot of sparkle. Then I added a few white trees to accent the table. This time of year I visit Homegoods pretty frequently because they are constantly pulling out beautiful Christmas decor.
I made these pretty cakes to add festive charm.
With throws, and pillows I think it is possible to have an elegant, yet cozy and inviting table.
I will be sharing the recipe for these pretty sugared cranberries. They are so fun to add to cakes, etc. for the holidays.
At each place setting, I used a little wreath of green clippings from my sweet sister in law's tree in between the plate and the charger.
And then, of course, the pears at each place. The tags say "NOEL, peace, wish, believe, etc" and I will have these as well as some blank ones available as a free printable tomorrow on the blog!
Of course, my festive table wouldn't be complete without my yummy wassail recipe.
This Homegoods throw stole the show in my Christmas bedroom post last week. So many of you had asked where I got it, and my daughter even keeps stealing it from me, so it didn't stay here for long. It is so soft so I don't blame her.
My babies and I love to have our little fancy parties. 🙂
The thing that I also love about the mercury glass combination is just how versatile it is for other decor, whether you are putting them on a tree or even a bowl on the table. They are classic and timeless.

Wow. What a stunning table. It can't get more Christmas than that. You have created a tabletop story and fantasy. True Christmas magic. I can see why your beautiful children are smiling away.
Wishing you a happy and blessed holiday season.
