A vintage Halloween skeleton bones chart that is easy to make with a free printable and supplies you probably have on hand! This oversized bones chart is so cute for spooky Halloween decorating this Fall!
We are starting to pull out some of our Halloween decorations and the kids (and I) couldn't be more thrilled! Soon We will put up our Halloween tree and spooky vintage Halloween decorations, adding all of the cozy warm touches.
Vintage Halloween Skeletons
We love vintage spooky decorating around here and look forward to it every fall! I like to add Halloween skeletons all around the house just for fun.
We usually keep Fall decorations up for the month of September and then Halloween for the month of October. They always include elegantly spooky touches with a lot of vintage whimsy.
Skeletons have so much character and we even have a life sized one we named "Mr. Bones."
I wanted to make a vintage printable one to add a little Halloween fun to your home as well!
How to Assemble the Halloween Skeleton
This Halloween Skeleton is extra fun because it is large- 3 full sized sheets of paper to be exact. If you want to make it bigger or smaller, just take the file down to a copy place and ask them to increase or decrease the percentage when printing.
But, the easiest way is to just make it regular-sized at home! You can use plain printer paper or you can use a heavier weight card stock as well. I used card stock for mine so it will be a bit stronger.
Supplies
The great thing about this cute project is that you can just use whatever you have on hand. If you don't have paperclips, use metal rings or tie with string. You could use colored paper or any regular paper or card stock. Another option is to hang from any clip or dowel, or even frame each section and stack the frames on the wall.
You will need:
- a regular-sized hole punch
- paper clips (these are similar to mine)
- clip for hanging (mine is vintage, but these are so cute: gold / black / silver)
- card stock or regular printer paper
Instructions
This is probably the world's easiest tutorial, but you can put this cute sign together in just 3 easy steps.
- Download and Print the file here.
- Punch holes in the sheets of paper. Make sure all of the holes are spaced the same it isn't lopsided.
- Thread paperclips through the holes to attach sheets.
Once your vintage Halloween skeleton bones chart is assembled, hang it with a large clip. A cute alternative could be hanging it from a dowel or large stick with ribbon or twine.
Here is a picture next to my cutie to give you an idea of the scale.
