We love all holidays around here, and Valentine's Day is no exception. We love the excuse to use lots of pink and to decorate with hearts and flowers- the girly things!
I will be sharing links at the bottom of this post to other beautiful Valentines Day kids parties in a tour hosted by She Leaves A Little Sparkle, so we have got you covered! If you are coming over from Pink Peppermint Design, welcome! I am so happy to have you here.
One of my favorite things about being a mom is making holidays special for my babies. I just live for the excitement in their eyes! I cleared out the dining room and brought down some of their play furniture and set up a little Valentine's Day party. It has been so cold and bleak outside and this fun little pop of color with treats and balloons was just what we needed. I worked quickly with my little helper while the boys were down for their afternoon naps and surprised them when they woke up. Ella is so creative and she LOVES helping me put together things like this.
I set a little table for the kids, making a simple little heart shaped naked cake and putting out some treat boxes for them.
For Valentine's Day I prefer a vintage red with this dusty blush color instead of the bright or candy pinks. Ella's room has a lot of this blush pink in it, so that made it easy to pull out for our fun little party.
I just love tulips this time of year. They are such a welcome and beautiful pop of color.
I know they are hard to see, but I used a combination of clear and white balloons.... which my kids actually liked best out of everything. They had balloon fights with each other :).
This little tent is one I built for Ella when she was just a year old. I made it out of a vintage tablecloth and it has been something that has gotten plenty of use from all of my kids. I filled it with pillows from Ella's bed for our little party.
I used leftover flowers from yesterday's post in the window. These carnations smell so heavenly.
I made a little printable "Pin the Arrow on the Heart" game for the kids and they played this over and over, all the way up until dinner. It was hilarious because my little 3 year old kept blatantly cheating and peeking under his blindfold. This printed a lot lighter than I wanted, so I will share this printable with everyone when I get the color right.
Being a mommy is just the best. Kids make everything so much fun.
