We are having a birthday party for Ella next weekend with family and friends and I designed and put together these little invitations.
We are having a little garden party at the home of some very dear friends who are like my second family. They have the most beautiful home and garden, and even as a little girl I dreamt of having a home as beautiful, warm, and inviting. The part in the pictures that is covered says, "in the Williams' lovely garden" and the address.
For the invitations, I used the vintage hydrangea image from the Graphics Fairy blog {here}. I actually printed the invitation directly onto some fabric I had in my stash and adhered it to cardstock. It ended up having a really great linen-y feel. If anyone is interested in a tutorial, let me know and I will put one together.
I also put a picture of my sweetie pie, Ella, in there with the card, and tied them together with vintage seam binding that I stole from my mom.
I wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of support for my projects and blog. I have been so overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone's thoughtfulness and kindness!
I also wanted to let everyone know that I will be posting the tutorial for the Autumn "Pumpkins, Apples, Hayrides" sign {here} on Monday! It will include a tutorial with my own little unique painting technique to get that look of layers and layers of old paint.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Kristen, I found your blog through Brenda's blog. Ella Claire is the most beautiful baby that I have seen. I can see why she is loved and adored.
My middle name is Annella and when I was little I did not like it. LOL My first name was Constance and I had a very long last name. As I have aged (71), I have finally learn to love my middle name. LOL
I just found your blog and you have created a lovely and inviting home. Please share the pictures of Ella's birthday party. I know her grandparents are so proud to have such a neat granddaughter.
Hugs,
Connie, IN/FL

Hugs,
Ohmygoodness, those invitations are adorable, and so is Ella!!
Those are so pretty! How do you print on fabric? Do you have a regular old ink jet?
I would also like to see a tutorial on how you printed the invitations on linen as well. They are just so sweet-just like Ella!
That is one lucky little girl to have a mother like you!
Brenda
Those invites are just beautiful. I love them. How in the heck did you print on fabric though? You will have a wonderful party, I'm sure- xo Diana
What beautiful invitations Kristen! I love that you printed on fabric. I'm so sad that my printer is broken or I would be printing on fabric all the time. I love it!! What's the pretty swirly font you used for "garden"?
Thank you so much! I think I will post a full tutorial next week since I seem to have some interest :)
You got it! I will post one next week! Thank you :)
Hi Connie! I love your middle name! How fun! Thank you so much for all of the compliments. They mean so much. I will, most definitely, post pictures of my sweetie pie's birthday party! Thanks again :)

How adorable! You are quite the talented lady! I'm sure she will have fun on her birthday! Can't wait to see the pics of the lovely event!
XOXO's,

Beautiful invitations! I'm looking forward to the tutorial. :) Would you mind sharing the names of the fonts that you used? I especially love the one you used for "Claire"!
Those are adorable...and more cuteness inside:) So glad that you will be doing a tutorial on Monday of the sign...I'll be there!
Definitely would love to see a tutorial but while I think I could figure out the printing part, it's the designing of the invite itself that I'm curious about, what programs you use, how you get the graphic on there, etc. Can't wait to hear how you did it. :)
What a nice birthday invitation! I like the colors.
