Featured, Thank You, and My First Giveaway!

I want to thank Kristin from the beautiful blog, Simply Klassic Home, for featuring my blog today! She picked me as the Newbie Spotlight of the week from  Debbiedoo's Newbie Party (Thank you Debbie!!)

Wasn't that so sweet of her!?
She has such a lovely blog, and I am so impressed with everything she touches.  Her home is beautiful, her kids are beautiful, she is beautiful, and she has such a beautiful story.

In honor of her kindness, I am hosting my first GIVEAWAY!
At the risk of sounding dorky...This is very exciting for me!

This giveaway includes the banner that Kristin featured, which I posted a tutorial for here, and a cute little vintage book. It also includes 100 vintage German book pages so you can make your very own Vintage Book Page Pinwheel Banner... or whatever else your heart desires.

This little Golden mustard colored distresed frame and a vintage alfalfa grainsack are also included, as well as 24 yards of the vintage seam binding I posted about here.

The patina on this seam binding is so beautiful.

I know this sounds silly, but I was so excited today to see my followers list hit 25!
Thank you again to Kristin for featuring my blog!

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post. Don't forget to make sure I have a way to contact you :) The giveaway will close Sunday Night at 11:59 PST, and I will announce the winner on Monday!

For those of you new to my blog, thank you for visiting!

In the next couple of weeks, a few things I hope to post include:
~How to wash burlap to remove the smell
~A DIY Pottery Barn Knock off frame and mat
~Some pictures of my home
~A vintage inspired wedding (I am doing the flowers)

Thank you for reading!

Congratulations on the newbie spotlight. Your project is gorgeous. It was one of the ones I clicked on from the original party. And I know what you mean about little excitements. I get a kick out of watching when people repin my projects on Pinterest. Geeky I know. Hope you'll come visit.

Kristen! Oh my gosh, look how many people commented and how many followers you have! YOu are so amazing (I totally get the excitement you speak of). I'm a little giddy for you too! But I SO want in on this giveaway. Your stuff is so cute, I still have my ugly old blue/gold pillows with the LOVELY covers that you made! (the red and blue/red floral? remember) I love them! You are great!

Your blog is lovely and I was excited to become #40 in your group of followers!! I can remember watching that followers list go up and panicked if it ever dropped.!! I LOVE blogging and think you will find it to be both rewarding and challenging. You'll find yourself seeing the world in terms of "I can blog about this". May I invite you to my blog, Grandmama's Stories? I like to share stories about my family and talk about my quilting hobby!
Hope I win that lovely banner!!
Blessings

Hi, Kristen and welcome! Shannon from Fox Hollow Cottage sent me - and I'm glad she did. Your blog is beautiful! I'm a follower, not a blogger (yet ... maybe when I retire) and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your lovely creations. And don't worry ... dorky is good! :)
