It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas is my very favorite time of year, so I couldn't resist posting a little peek into my Christmas decorations!
Here are some pictures of my downstairs Christmas tree.

This tree is a 9 ft. flocked tree that I decorated with a combination of dark reds, sparkly glittery reds and mercury glass.

I snapped a few pictures of my tree and then it FELL OVER!
Yes, you read right... after being up well over a month, my tree decided she was done.
I ran, I screamed, I cried.... but in the end NOT ONE ornament was broken!

So... unfortunately, I don't have any good shots of the entire tree. I just have these close-ups. I guess it is better than nothing at all, right!
This sheet music banner/ribbon is one that I made to add to the tree this year.  I thought it was a fun addition.  I like how the warm tones add depth and richness to the generally cool toned flocking.

I have three bookpage wreaths hanging in my dining room windows.  In the fall I had a pretty burnt orange colored ribbon holding them up.  I switched to this red for Christmas and Valentine's Day.

Here is a shot of my hutch.

I decorated my mantle with live branches and various other Christmas decorations.  I loved being able to have the yummy smell of live branches, yet still have my fake tree to decorate.

I added a couple of mercury glass candlesticks and some vintage Christmas pictures to my side table.

In our entryway, I kept it pretty simple.  One of my favorite things to do is decorate my big chalkboard, so I change it for each of the seasons/birthdays/any other reason I can think of...

My upstairs tinsle tree is a little hard to see because of poor lighting and lack of contrast, but I think it was a sweet tree.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas!
